Começa o New York Film Festival
Hoje começa um dos últimos festivais que realmente celebram o cinema como uma arte, nada dessas palhaçadas que chamam de festival de cinema e na verdade é apenas mais um meio das grandes produtoras lançarem seus blockbusters, não. O festival de filmes de New York celebra a arte e mantém o espaço dos indies, claro, o festival dá espaço para todos, inclusive diretores consagrados, mas eles tem os mesmo direitos que os indies. Obviamente, o festival já está esgotado, com exceção de alguns filmes que serão exibidos em horários impraticáveis, todos os filmes já estão sendo cotados no mercado negro, uns como o Darjeeling Limited, que abre o festival, você encontra por até 200 dólares.
